Our bodies have an amazing innate ability to heal. Unfortunately, past traumas and injuries, stresses from the foods we eat and drink and emotional stresses complicate that simple pathway to health. We are programmed to adapt or at least compensate for the many micro traumas we face every day. Occasionally we find ourselves faced with that “straw that broke the camel’s back” and get knocked to the ground unable to get back up to face our normal daily routine without some outside help.
Some turn to drugs to alleviate the symptoms. Others might try to wait it out and hope that the body will heal itself. But sometimes we all need a bit of help to get us back on the track towards health. As a chiropractor, I offer a gentle approach to reversing the functional loss and reducing the pain caused by life’s little traumas, whether they are the result of an acute injury or the insidious development from a chronic process.
We are designed for fluid and efficient movement. When each and every bone, ligament and muscle are healthy and moving under the unhindered control of our amazing nervous system, we are in a state of complete health.
Healing is an individual process. We each have our own specific conditions… fibrotic muscle fibers resulting from fibromyalgia type conditions or damaged from overwork… muscle spasms from traumatic strains… joints that are restricted by arthritis or are misaligned by a slip and fall incident… ligaments that are genetically weakened or stretched and weakened by sprains or repetitive injuries.
Whatever the specific combination of symptoms, we each have a specific key that will open the door and move us from the path of pain, damage, and dysfunction and back onto the path of health and optimum function. Chiropractic is one such key, and in my experience, it is very effective in starting individuals back onto the path of health and wellness.
The key to health and wellness is fluid and appropriate movement. With limited or abnormal joint motion comes pain, dysfunction and degeneration. Our goal is to restore natural, efficient motion and bring more life to your whole body.
Please don’t take chances with your health. A wellness plan that’s easy to understand and follow through on is key to good health all through your life. Make chiropractic a cornerstone of that plan, and you’re well on your way to living a life that’s active and free from pain.
